What a beautiful day to be able to capture! In the late summer of 2023 we traveled to the North East of Sicily for the Italian wedding of Kim & Wichard. A small close group which made it very special to be part of the wedding. The ceremony took place in an old ruin on top of the mountain which made for some unique photos and spectacular drone footage!

"We have known Michiel for a long time and always work with him. So it was only logical for us to have Michiel capture our wedding. We wanted everything to be just a little bit different than usual, and Michiel's flexibility and creativity fit that perfectly. We wanted to get married in Sicily, a party the day after with our Italian friends and a week later a surprise party for our family and friends in the Netherlands. This meant that within a week of the ceremony we wanted to have a video to show at the party in the Netherlands. Michiel arranged it, in that he is truly distinctive from all other photographers. Together with Karlijn he managed to capture our day and our celebrations perfectly. In March 2024 we got to travel to beautiful Finnish Lapland for the wedding of Thijs & Romira. The beautiful landscape and perfect weather made for a fairytale wedding. Despite temperatures of around -25 degrees Celcius we were able to do an extra photo shoot with the couple during the wedding party with the Northern Lights. It were 5 very beautiful days in a unique place to celebrate your wedding!

In the summer of 2021, Marco & Jessica got married in beautiful Sicily. In the middle of the Corona period so it was uncertain until the end whether everything could go ahead. It was a wonderful week away with very nice people, delicious Italian food, plenty of fun and a beautiful wedding to capture.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long have you been a wedding photographer/videographer?
The first wedding I captured was my sister's in 2009. I enjoyed this so much that I decided I wanted to make this my work and so my second wedding followed shortly after. In the period that followed, I continued my studies at the FotoAcademie to further develop myself as a photographer and also filmed my first wedding in 2014. After years of multiple jobs combined with capturing weddings, I have now been a fully independent wedding photographer for several years and am doing the work I dreamed of in 2009.
In which countries do you capture weddings?
All over the world! Italian weddings are particularly popular, but we also take on weddings in other countries. Thus, we also receive requests for weddings in the rest of Europe, as well as South Africa, for example.

Are you working with a regular second shooter?
Yes, I work with a team of regular second photographers. Since we’ve photographed many weddings together, we work together seamlessly!
How long will you/stay at the wedding?
At foreign weddings we are basically present the entire day. We often arrive at least one day in advance to get acquainted with the most important guests. In this way we blend in with the group, so to speak, and we are virtually invisible at your wedding, allowing us to capture the most beautiful images. We also capture the evening and the party for you and have a drink with you at the end of the evening!
Can I choose the music for our wedding video myself?
Ja dat kan zeker! Ik heb zelf een abonnement op een database vol met rechtenvrije muziek die ik mag gebruiken voor mijn werk. Maar als jullie zelf een bepaald nummer hebben die jullie graag willen gebruiken dan is dat zeker mogelijk. Houd er dan wel rekening mee dat de video officieel niet gebruikt mag worden op bijvoorbeeld social media of dat de website waarop je de video zet de muziek er af kan halen. Het is ook mogelijk om naast de video een extra social media edit voor €350 te nemen waarin de highlights van de dag voorbijkomen op rechtenvrije muziek. Zo kunnen jullie deze wel delen op social media!
